In Ghana, some parents of children with special needs face the burden of combating stigma, as society unfairly labels their children as "cursed" individuals. Tragically, some of these children remain confined to their homes throughout their lives to shield them from public ridicule. Moreover, to compound the challenges faced by children with special needs, their mothers often bear the brunt of society's insensitivity.
Through the H.E.A.R.T.S. of H.O.P.E project, our mission is to contribute to the creation of a nurturing and inclusive environment where children with special needs can flourish, grow, and lead fulfilling lives. By embracing their uniqueness and providing the necessary support and resources, we aspire to build a brighter future for these exceptional children and their families, ensuring they are celebrated and empowered every step of the way.

Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and sensory integration, tailored to each child's specific challenges and strengths.
Promoting sensitivity and awareness among staff, volunteers, and the community at large, fostering a culture of understanding and acceptance for children with special needs and their families.

SupportWe have initiated a day social program for children with special needs to foster a safe and welcoming environment where they can meet, learn, interact, and socialize. Currently, the program is organized once a month, but with your contributions, we aim to gather enough resources to establish a permanent center and expand the program's frequency. By securing more volunteers and personnel, we can ensure these children receive the care and attention they deserve on a more regular basis.
